it's funny when people fall down.

Last night Erin and I went down to the Works festival outside stage. We were sitting on a picnic table sipping on ciders when suddenly a picnic table just across from us flipped over on it's side taking down a few people including an old lady. There was a half second of awkward silence before I burst into laughter. A few people joined in the chuckles but the longer the lady stayed down the less funny it seemed to everyone else. BUT NOT ME. No I continued with my hearty chortle. I simply could not hold back. And I did not feel bad. So what if I have a warped sense of humour? Maybe 5 people shouldn't sit on the same side of a picnic table without anyone on the other side to balance the weight. Maybe old ladys shouldn't be drama queens and lay on the ground collecting sympathy from people when she's obviously just to embarrassed to accept the situation gracefully.

I was pretty disappointed in Christian Hansen and the Autistics. I have heard pretty good things about them; good energy, fun live show and whatnot. They were wayyy too Wham-esque for me. I love energy but theirs seemed faked and forced. The only thing saving them were their beats.
Manraygun were great though. Excellent musicians all of them.

I feel like summer has barely started and almost finished at the same time. It's terrible. After this summer my life is pretty much over. School and work and work will be taking up alll of my time. I'm trying to make the most of the summer but I have to work tons to have money for Vancouver in August and school and September. Bah, I'm going to end up having to get a loan even though I don't want to. Grrr.

I got a new free bike! Life is nice.

I guess there's no accounting for tastes. I was at the works fest too and I though Christian Hansen & the Autistics were really great. They blew me away actually...Probably the best live band in edmonton right now, in my opinion.
The picknick table thing was pretty funny though.
