I've been all by myself all day at the museum. This is pretty boring but less annoying then a couple of the alternatives. The tech dude came by to give me a 'TECHNICALLY THE POLICY IS NO GOING ON FACEBOOK OR DOING YOUR HOMEWORK". Fortunately, people with actually authority over me don't give a shit. I don't like doing homework here though because people always ask me questions about what I'm doing and one time that combined with some dudes son choose the pink "girls toy" over the red "boys toy" caused a heated nature vs. nurture and origin of gender stereotypes argument. Also, people think being a first year history student and working in a museum (in a position that rarely allows me to see the insides of the exhibits) makes me an expert on everything ever. Which is pretty annoying in itself.

I had no power allll weekend. Well I had some, an outlet in my kitchen still worked. Anyways.. it went out Thursday and it was only a blown fuse. Why did I not get it back until Monday evening? Because my building is between site managers so there was this bug kerfuffle because the new guy didn't have all the keys yet blah blah blah. But now it's back! YAY! No more showering by candlelight.

pffffffffffffft.

Alright, so I've eaten and retyped my paper and finished it up and printed it and everything and I'm feeling pretty great about having it out of the way. Now I can catch up on everything else I'm behind on in school. WHOOP.

I had a game yesterday! We finally played our house teams against each other. It was amazing! Both teams played extremely well but sadly mine (Los Pistolitas) lost. I'm very happy with how I played though, especially compared to how I felt about my performance in Victoria. There was one jam in particular that I will think about often when I am feeling glum to cheer myself up. I just know we going to beat their asses when we have a rematch in January. This game also signals the end of a very busy year of roller derby. Just 2 weeks left of practices then a break until after the new year. A much needed break! I need some serious time to myself. Between work, school, work, derby, work, boyfriend, work I barely have time for my friends and family. I need to go to Jasper after finals. I need to spend a few days at my parents place. I need to clean my apartment. I need to ACE my finals.

On Friday I made my first radio appearance on CJSR! SO MUCH FUN. A few of us went on to promote our game.I was soooo nervous though. My hands were sweaty and pale and the first section of it I know I sounded nervous. But I loosened up on the break, enough to recite a couple of haikus at least!! Hahaha. I even made a derby one up on the spot. Fun fun fun!!

SABOTAGE!!

It sounds a little crazy, but I'm pretty sure the guy at the computer next to me deleted my essay and shut off my computer while I was making myself a drink. I'm smart enough to save my work as I go along, and I KNOW I saved it to the desktop before I got up. When I came back a few minutes later the screen was black so I figure, oh well, the computer went into stand-by. I wiggled the mouse and hit the keyboard a couple of times, and he sort of smirks this evil smirk in my direction as I realize it's off and reach for the power button. Then I saw that the file was missing from the desktop!! ARGG!! Luckily I wrote it out in my notebook before I typed it so not all my work is gone. I did make some revisions that I'm angry to have lost. FUCKER. He totally did too. Why would someone do it? The worst part is he's still sitting next to me. I was careful not to let panic creep up on my face as to not give him the satisfaction.. BUT NOW I WANT TO POUR MY STEAMING HOT AMERICANO ALL OVER HIS LAP. And I will if he doesn't stop making these annoying lip smacking noises to beat of the music.

Otherwise, I am feeling pretty good about getting the paper done. It has been hanging over my head for a while now. I had a pretty exciting week, which I will go into after I eat some pizza.
