...-59 degrees with windchill is too cold to boycott the bus

Well.. that didn't last long. A couple of weeks ago it dropped to unlivable temperatures in this city so I was forced to take the bus if I was going farther than a block. Luckily I didn't have to leave my apartment much except for to go to work. Unfortunately my apartment did not get warmer than 12 degrees the entire time and I spent the whole week dying of the consumption.
ARRGHHHH...

But ole fortunas wheel does not only spin downwards.

It's becoming unseasonably warm!! Last weekend was gorgeous and I got to spend it in Jasper with 3 of my favourite people. I had been turning into a grumpy gus the past few weeks despite the year getting off to a fantastic start. Minor drawback, things are looking good again!

A couple of days ago I was getting anxious for spring and decided it was time to break out the bamboo bike! I rode it to work at the museum with no trouble but biffed on my way home tearing my favourite work pants! Nooo!! Good thing it is skirt and dress season because I have so few work appropriate outfits. No I have no skin on my left knee and it was oozing sooo bad after practice last night. I'm still going to ride my bike though. The roads and sidewalks get better everyday. It's at Tyler's right now because I woke up too late to ride it to work the other day. Bahhh I want my bike right now it's so gorgeous out!!!

I tried to quit my coffee job last week and after telling my manager everything I hated about my job for like half an hour I left the conversation somehow coerced into staying. WTF???? Now I have to work up the balls to quit AGAIN!! I'm seriously considering going to Jasper for the month of May (as long as it is okay with the museum) and if I do I don't know how I will be able to go back. Being there gets to me more and more everyday. I love my worky pals but I know we will still see each other if I leave. (Hellooo it's a block away and I'm an addict). It's tearing my soul apart though. I feel like my personality is being repressed and the longer I stay there the harder it will be to get it back. At this point I don't get enough hours at the museum to live off of but I'm hoping to work here tons in the summer when it is our busy season. Then I start school in September. I really will not be able to reasonably hold 2 jobs. I want to be able to take off with Tyler on his bike here and there in the summer. I don't want summer to end and realize I don't even have a tan because I never saw the light of day I spent the whole time blending fucking frappucinos for coffee prima donnas. UGHGHHHHHDKHJFHKALJHFKJ. /END RANT.

I'll end this post in the usual fashion, complaintz about da bus.

A few weeks ago I was on the 4 heading to the university during rush hour so it's stupid packed and this bottle lady gets on with her bottles and cans and sits right the fuck beside me AND SHE SMELLED TERRIBLE and her gross bottle bags get grazing me and I wanted to barf. Then a couple of days ago I was on the lrt with my bike and she gets on WITH HER BOTTLES AND CANS and stands really close to me and I couldn't even move anywhere because my bike was all awkward and the train was pretty full and I had to endure it again. NO MORE BUSES UNTIL FALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

..the end of an era

So after 3 long months, I finally have a new ID.

This means I don't have to sneak/charm my way into drinking establishments and I don't have to get my friends to buy me smokes.
I've been really lucky lately with getting into places. I've only been completely denied entry twice! And I got to the bar like twice a week. It's awesome. I'm a sneaky bastiche. It is nice to know I can for sure though. Especially with a few important birthdays this month, and a trip to Jasper.

Because I Can

I've been thinking lately.

Now that it looks as though the worst of the winter is over.. I am beginning a full on boycott of ETS. No incidents lately, but that's just beause I barely left my house for a week. If I had tried to take the bus on the coldest blizzardest day of the year when it was running an average 30 minutes behind schedule I'm sure you would have heard about it.
So from now I can not take the bus. I can take the LRT but I can't pay for it.
I guess it's not that much longer until bike riding season...

Do you know how cold it is in my apartment? I'd put my guess somewhere around 13 degress celcius. IT IS UNLIVEABLE!

I stayed at Tyler's last night and it was the first night since... last time I stayed there that I didn't have to sleep with longjohns, a hoodie, a toque with a million blankets in front of the radiator and still feel like I was freezing to death.

We watched Snakes On A Plane last night! I hadn't seen it since Jill and I went to see it in movie theatres with a large bottle of vanilla vodka. Upon a more sober viewing of the movie I can definately say it is absolutely the most ridiculous thing ever. EVER. But definately entertaining. Tyler had never seen it.

We are going to Jasper in a couple of weeks and I am so so excited. I get to spend time with my 3 favourite people all at once in one of my favourite places. I hope it's warmish out!!
