i make charming first impressions

foam parties are completely impractical

my clothes and hair are sticky, and my knees are all bruised
i don't know why i thought last night would be a good night to learn to wear heels
im pretty sure everyone loved catching me every 5 seconds as i slipped to my apparent doom


i think the best part was when i was on my knees SWIMMING THROUGH FOAM trying to find my cell phone for like 10 minutes before i remembered i stuck it in my top for safe keeping

I wish I could regale you all in tales of my glamorous life on the west coast but it's actually been pretty boring. I've gone out a couple of times but I just keep realizing how little I have in common with all of my old friends save a few. I'm fairly homesick. This week I'll get a job and meet a few new people or something.

my family exhausts me

Well since the last time I came to visit them in Nanaimo my grandparents have upgraded to high speed internet.

I'm on Vancouver Island right now, relaxing after a very emotional family function. These things always stress me out so much. I have no cousins in my age group other than Jill who ditched out to go to a wedding. Jerk. I'm pretty much the black sheep of my family. When I do come out to these things all anyone talks about is how I used to have blue hair when I was 14. Yeeesh!! It was just a stage get over it. My other cousins have done way more dramatic things to their bodies like GET PREGNANT!! I totally forgot my younger cousin was knocked up because I haven't seen her since I heard the news. I almost choked on my freaking crantini when I saw her bulge.
So basically I find these things totally depressing. Everyone always gives me these disappointing looks when they ask what I'm doing and I tell them nothing. I guess everyone had pretty high expectations for me.

My reign as cute little blonde girl in my family ended years ago when I started dying my hair and lost interest in pretty much anything anyone in my family could relate to. It has now been picked up by my uncle Jonny's daughter Easton. I despise children but shes fucking precious. I survived the evening by roasting her marshmellows and sending her back to her parents high on sugar and sticky. Muah haha.
