Bus Anxiety

So I have a horrible case of bus anxiety. I don't know why the eff I do. But it's ridiculous. I NEVER ring the buzzer, I always just wait for someone else to or just hope that the bus will stop at my stop anyway. I have actually missed my stop several times because of this. BUT IT MUST END!!

Today I accidently got on the West Edmonton Mall EXPRESS BUS. Yeah, the one that doesn't stop at all. So you guessed it. I went all the way to the fucking mall.

Some added bits of info about how bad this sucks:
- dead battery in ipod
- super crowded bus/ had to stand
- annoying girl from english class on bus, had to turn with back facing her to avoid awkward conversation
- this happened directly after watching a man pick lint out from between his toes on the lrt.
- this incident added 90 minutes to my trip home.

I'm not sure why I have this bus anxiety. I take the bus/lrt several times a day. I need to stop being such a weirdo in some respects.

In other news, I drew a really neat picture on the bus home of the front of the bus.It reminds me of how I used to draw pictures of staplers and salt shakers when I worked days at the Onoway Hotel.

Goodbye Puppy Face..

My parents live out in the country with my animals..
We have always had problems keeping the dogs on our property. We built them a large pen but Axel-Face was always too damn clever and could always lift the latch. They got picked up so many times by the police for running in the highway! It was scary.
A couple of days ago they got picked up for the last time and my mom gave them up for adoption.
It was the saddest morning in the world when she told me.
I wish I could have said goodbye to my big cuddly puppy of doom.:(

Harry Potter Night!

Every Sunday at 4th and Vine they have movie night. Now I have been meaning to go to one for quite some time but I always had to work early the next morning. Since my mornings have recently been freed up, I decided that tonight was the night! AND WHAT LUCK!! Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was playing!

I of course used this as a reason to wear a top hat and drape myself in shiny green fabric with golden stars on it. My roommate and I even turned small branches into wands!

So I drank cocoa and snacked on delicious bacon and maple flavoured popcorn!

The next 3 weeks they are showing Goodnight, and Goodluck; Capote and Memoirs of A Geisha! So if you like good movies and/or good wine and/or delicious homestyle popcorn.. I definately reccomend movie night at 4th and Vine as an excellent date idea or a quiet night to yourself or something to do with a couple of friends.. or something!!

4th and Vine featured in the Sun The article states Monday as movie night, but I assure you they have been moved to Sundays since this article was written.

ps- I totally have that poster in a giant size on the wall in my bedroom.
pps- I totally sound like an ad for 4th and Vine in this post. But that's how much I really love the place!

Dream Job, Schream Schrob

Last week, I got a job at my local Office Depot. Just a part-time thing to keep me from becoming destitute. As someone who ADORES office/school supplies, I felt my dream had come true.
THEN IT WAS SHATTERED.
I cannot think of a more dull and repressive place to work. It would not have even been that bad if I had any coworkers who were not completely retarded. I was tempted to stay around long enough to abuse my discount...but they had NO Apple products. It just wasn't worth it.
So today I quit. At first the manager looked like he was going to cry, then he looked super annoyed. Those bitches better pay me.

Check out this article in theGlobe and Mail complimenting the local music scene here in Edmonton.
