Puppy Shopping

It might have been a little soon, but my mom really needed a new puppy. So today my dad and I spent HOURS driving all over Edmonton looking for a decent puppy for her. All of the puppies were all little annoying lap dogs or too old. Finally we found the perfect little guy, in ST ALBERT. I don't even know how many pet stores and shelters we went to, but he is worth the hassle. He's a siberian husky/ border collie and 100% too cute for words. I'll have to dust off my digital camera and get some pictures up of him.

Oh, I also had to drag my dad through the lingerie section of several department stores in the search for a housecoat for the lady. AWKWARD. I finally found one in Le Senza, which my dad REFUSED to go into and I had to go in, find something and then go get him to come pay.

I made friends with a sweet ginger cat named George at the humane society. He was so sad and in need of love. Kittens are wayyy easier to find than puppies I'm telling you.

t-shirt weather

It is so unbelievably gorgeous out today. In fact, its been like this for a few days now.
I rode my longboard to school. After class I went down to the legislative buildings with a couple of friends. It was too nice of a day to break in Michael's new XBox 360..

I have an overwhelming urge to go on picnics and road trips and go to the beach. Days like this make me really miss BC. Picnics in on the beach, climbing the white rock, learning to skim board.. [sigh]

Around this time every year I start to get really anxious for the summer and I begin to listen to a lot of the music I listened to the summer before.. so I think I'm about to start listening to large amounts of Joel Plaskett/ Devendra Banhart/ Bobby Darin/ the Cure... oh last summer was swell.

This sure won't help my bus anxiety.

I won't get into the details of my horrible, demeaning job.. I will however say..

If you ride Edmonton public transit, and someone approaches you with a clipboard.. please be nice to them. Please don't make this week of work any more horrible than it has to be.

So I am on a big mix cd making kick! WHO WANTS ONE? I can't make mix tapes because I tore the door off of my tape player that I could make mix tapes with when it wouldn't give me my favourite mix tape IN A FIT OF RAGE!!
